Zulu Alpha Kilo names new strategic planner

Zulu Alpha Kilo has hired Ebrahim El Kalza as senior strategic planner. The 10-year veteran of the Canadian ad world joins the agency from Sid Lee in Montreal, where he worked as strategy director on the Dell and Qatar Airways accounts.

He will work with Zulu’s strategic planning director Shari Walczak on accounts such as Audi, Coca-Cola, Corona and Workopolis.

“The great thing with Ebrahim is that he comes from a research background but a less traditional one,” says Walczak. “He has a great perspective on asking questions differently and tapping into consumer insights. He gets ideas from different places rather than just scouring the internet to see what’s happening from a trends perspective.”

El Kalza also spent four years at In-Sync prior to joining Sid Lee. “When I met with Zak, Shari and the team, I was immediately excited by the radically collaborative ways Zulu works, both internally and with its clients. It’s inspiring to join a team that’s clearly doing things differently,” he said in a statement.
