Grip wins Lindt & Sprungli

The Toronto-based agency becomes the Swiss chocolatier's AOR in Canada.

Grip Ltd. said in a press release late Tuesday it has been named Canadian AOR for Swiss premium chocolatier Lindt & Sprüngli. The Toronto-based agency will handle Lindt’s strategy, digital, social media, media buying and creative development.

“Grip earned our trust and ultimately our business throughout the pitch process because they understood our culture, our brand equity, and our business needs,” said Ron Lencz, VP marketing, Lindt, in the statement.  “Grip demonstrated the best understanding of our position and offered us a senior team that will help us build a deeper connection with our consumers.”

Managing partner Bob Shanks and president Harvey Carroll led Grip’s pitch. Creative partners Jon Finkelstein and Thom Antonio will lead the Lindt account on a daily basis.
