Patrick Weir (centre) joins Toronto’s Fuse Marketing Group as its newest VP/CD. The former VP/CD at Draftfcb officially joined the company in May to lead the creative department. He replaces Brenda McNeilly, who has opened her own shop, Whatifmanship.
“I’m excited to get back to my roots to an independent agency that is more of a challenger versus a big marketing machine,” he said in a release.
He brings with him two new creatives, Dima Zelikman, formerly of Tribal DDB, as ACD, and Heather Kinoshita, formerly of Proximity BBDO, as copywriter.
“The time is ripe for a new infusion of creative direction at Fuse,” said Stephen Brown, president, Fuse. “We’ve built a solid, reputable business over the past 10 years and now it’s time to up our game even more, and that requires a top, digitally advanced creative team. Patrick, Dima and Heather represent a new era at Fuse.”
