Saatchi boosts its VP ranks

Saatchi & Saatchi has promoted two new VPs, expanding the roles of group CDs Matt Antonello and Joel Arbez.

Arbez is picking up the title of VP, head of art/group CD, while Antonello adds the title of VP, new business development to his group CD role.

“In a nutshell, Matt will be working with the new business team to help develop new clients, and to bring creative focus to all our new business efforts,” said Brian Sheppard, ECD, Saatchi, in a statement. “As head of art, Joel will be helping oversee Saatchi’s art directors and designers to elevate all the visual material coming out of the agency.”

Both will maintain their existing group CD duties.

Sheppard adds that the roles are new to the agency and designed to address two shop-wide goals (winning business and improving visual output).

The duo joined Saatchi in 2013, after previously working with agencies including Rethink and DDB.

Arbez frequently cracks the annual strategy Creative Report Card top 20, coming in at 12 last year and 16 the year before. This year, both Arbez and Antonello landed in the top 10 (with the full rankings revealed Feb. 19).
