Grey Canada has hired eight new staff across its content marketing, production management and creative departments, driven by expanding mandates with current clients and recent new business wins.
Karen Lee has joined the agency in Toronto as VP of CRM and content, working on the Volvo, Brown Forman and Ovarian Cancer Canada accounts, along with “supporting the content practice roll-out agency wide.” Before coming on board at Grey, Lee worked at Totem Group as head of client services for accounts including P&G, Acura, Geico, Canadian Tire and CAA. She has previously worked at BBDO Proximity and Ogilvy & Mather across their CRM portfolios.
Terri Vegso has also taken over as the agency’s director of production management, also in Toronto. Vegso joined Grey at the end of 2014 after working at Red Urban, including on the award-winning Volkswagen content marketing documentary Once More: The Story of VIN 903847.
Francesca Saraco also joins the agency in Toronto as a digital content strategist. Most recently, she worked at Grip Limited on Stella Artois, RBC and Lindt.
Grey says it’s also investing in its in-house production capabilities by bringing on Biko Franklin to its Toronto office, a director and editor with seven years of commercial experience, as a production specialist.
The group has also made four other junior-level hires to expand its team in Toronto and Vancouver – one in creative, one in content marketing and, two in account services.
