Corner Office Shifts: Adobe’s VP marketing is now Thomson Reuters’ CMO

Thomson Reuters has appointed David Carrel as its CMO, where he’ll be responsible for leading the global marketing organization across brand, segments and go-to market campaigns with a digitally powered marketing strategy. His role will utilize these strategies to boost customer experience and business growth.

Carrel previously held the title of marketing VP at Adobe’s digital experience, where he developed growth, SAS/subscription and transformational experience. He also served as director of global growth and demand for AWS and director of global prime member growth at Amazon Prime.

For Thomson Reuters, he plans to unite marketing and product marketing functions to strengthen the partnership between organizations, improve decision-making time and leverage knowledge and investments across all marketing efforts.

Daniel Calderoni takes over as GM Canada Pet Nutrition

Daniel Calderoni has been appointed to the role of general manager for Canada Pet Nutrition, a division of Mars Petcare.

Previously holding the title of VP emerging markets for pet nutrition and GM of pet nutrition in the southern cone, Calderoni is no stranger to the Mars Petcare team. He plans to leverage his global perspective and diverse experience to drive innovation for the brand.

Mal Cullen named CIBC Mellon’s CEO; Steven R. Wolff retiring

CIBC Mellon’s board of directors has appointed Mal Cullen as the company’s new CEO. Remaining on the board of directors himself, Cullen will now be responsible for CIBC Mellon’s strategy, client relationships and service delivery.

Cullen steps in to replace Steven R. Wolff, who’s set to retire at the end of this month after six years of leadership. Under Wolff’s tenure, CIBC Mellon grew to more than $2.3 trillion in assets under administration. Wolff also launched and enhanced solutions for Canadian institutional investors and earned several awards during his time in the role.

T&T hires CD

Canada’s largest Asian-foods supermarket chain, T&T, has named Toronto-based TV director and photographer Justin Wu as its creative director. Wu has directed sitcom Kim’s Convenience as well as spots for CBC and BBC.

With this hire, the brand is hoping to welcome a new audience.

Wu plans to create content that uplifts the community by featuring T&T’s fresh experts, local chefs and other special guests.
