Publicis Montreal names new managing director

Camille Fortier-Jordan has been appointed to a new role at Publicis Montreal, promoted from VP of account services to VP and managing director of the office.

Fortier-Jordan joined the agency in September of last year and almost immediately became “an indispensable partner for our clients and a source of inspiration for our teams,” says Mathieu Roy, executive president of Publicis in Quebec, to whom she will report in her new capacity. As VP and managing director, she will oversee the agency’s day-to-day operations and foster talent development and growth at the agency.

“I have great ambitions, both for our clients and our various areas of expertise. For them, I wish to provide all the necessary tools to promote a culture of collaboration and offer a high-performing strategic and creative product,” Fortier-Jordan says.

Fortier-Jordan brought 15 years of experience into her role when she joined Publicis, most recently at Nesto, an online mortgage lender, where she worked as director of partnerships to develop the brand’s ties with others. Prior to that, she developed Sid Lee’s CRM practice and team, first as its group account director and later as VP and CRM director. She has also held roles in CRM leadership with both FCB Canada and Cossette.

Other recent leadership moves at Publicis Montreal include Roy himself, who was brought on to lead both the creative agency and digital shop Nurun to drive new business and collaboration with other offerings within Publicis Groupe. Last week, Starcom CEO Christine Saunders had CMO duties for Publicis Groupe Canada added to her remit, with a focus both on new business and creating tailored solutions for clients.
