Intact Insurance taps its head marketer as president
Anne Fortin is Intact Insurance’s new president, effective January 1, 2024.
Since 2021, Fortin has worked as executive VP, direct distribution and chief marketing and communications officer, overseeing all direct-to consumer operations for Intact Financial in Canada, as well as global marketing and communications functions. Fortin joined the insurer in 2011 as a deputy senior VP of marketing, direct distribution, and held progressively senior positions in the company’s direct distribution business.
In the president role, Fortin will be responsible for the Quebec, Ontario, West and Atlantic divisions of Intact Insurance, reporting to IFC Canada CEO, Louis Gagnon.
This fall, Intact revisited its branding, evolving several elements in a bid to better deliver its message and enhance its emotional connection with clients.
Hill + Knowlton Canada makes senior influencer marketing promotion
Aimée Legault has been promoted to VP influencer marketing at Hill & Knowlton Canada.
Before joining H+K as its senior director, influencer marketing in 2021, Legault was sr. manager, integrated influencer marketing at Corus’ Kin Community Canada.
Legault is also a former project manager of broadcast, TV sales and client marketing with Corus.
Ineo announces retail division
In-store media company Ineo is announcing a new operating division, Ineo Retail Media.
At launch, the Ineo Media Network will have an inventory of more than 2.8 billion annual advertising impressions and 29 million customers. It will leverage its data analytics and exclusive contracts with large retail partners, and through its ad solutions it will work to provide maximum visibility and engagement with target audiences for the full time they are in store.
Ineo says that by integrating seamlessly into the retail environment, its advertising solutions contribute to an “enhanced shopping experience for consumers, providing valuable information and promotions.”
To spearhead this initiative, the company welcomed Salim Tharani, a veteran OOH ad industry executive as Ineo Retail Media’s managing director.
This February, Ineo launched welcoming greeter screens, which are stand-alone digital displays for grocery entryway real estate.
Sid Lee is helping a Quebec convention services leader rebrand
Capital Traiteur has announced a rebrand, and will now operate under the name Maestro Culinaire.
The transformation, the Quebec convention services company says, transcends a simple name change to “embody a unified vision of gastronomic excellence, human service and sustainability,” according to the news release announcing the rebrand.
In addition to creating the company’s new brand image, creative partner Sid Lee is in charge of strategy, brand positioning, website, social networks, visual content and public relations.
“This collaboration enabled all our teams to put their expertise to work, highlighting the splendor of local know-how and passion for Quebec culinary excellence,” says Omar Othmani, account director at Sid Lee.
Blue Door wins FBO AOR business
Toronto-based marketing shop, Blue Door Agency has been selected as the agency of record by Food and Beverage Ontario (FBO) following a competitive review.
FBO is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing Ontario’s food- and beverage-processing industry.
The agency has been tasked with leading overarching strategy development, creative direction, and tactical execution for FBO’s workforce development initiative, CareersNow.
