Dentsu Canada has found a new president, promoting Jordan Doucette from within.
Doucette is stepping into the role of president of Dentsu Creative Canada, but will remain in the agency’s chief creative officer (CCO) role, and continue to work closely with the creative leadership team. Doucette has worked as CCO at Dentsu Creative since 2022. Prior to that, she worked as CCO in stints for FCB West, Leo Burnett and Taxi, and as partner and president at No Fixed Address.
The promotion follows a successful year for Dentsu that saw it win the Strategy Awards Grand Prix, along with several CMA Awards, last fall. Dentsu was also recognized with awards at Cannes Lions and ADCC in 2023.
In Dentsu’s announcement of the promotion, Doucette praised the agency’s “laser focus” on how it works, moving away from traditional silos in creative agencies.
“I joined Dentsu Creative because it was important for me to join a modern creative agency with the ability to deliver ideas that are big enough to live anywhere, bold enough to chart new executional territory and rich enough to connect personally with millions,” Doucette said.
Dentsu Canada CEO Stephen Kiely praised recent successful campaigns from Doucette including “Inflation Cookbook” for SkipTheDishes, “F*cking Old” for JEMS and the creative she has contributed for Subway.
“Dentsu Canada’s mission was (and is) to deliver innovative creativity that strides boldly into the arena where ideas can move economies and humankind for both good as well as commercial success,” Kiely said.
