RONA and Tilley launch collab with “Tuff” demonstration

RONA launched the newest line of Tilley Tuff Workwear on Monday that will be sold exclusively at selected RONA+ and RONA stores and online. The event featured live demonstrations highlighting the features around the Tilley Tuff brand.

“Our working relationship with RONA has been exceptional, and their vast reach makes them the perfect partner to help us bring this exciting new line to Canadians nationwide,” Joseph Mimran, chairman of Tilley Endurables, said in a press release announcing the partnership.

The partnership is unique for RONA since it is the first time the brand has partnered with a clothing vendor like Tilley, RONA tells strategy.

The Tilley Tuff line bills itself as “comfortable, practical, durable and affordable clothing.” Tilley Tuff Workwear is the latest project of Joe Mimran, who has created and launched apparel and lifestyle brands including Club Monaco, Joe Fresh and Alfred Sung.

The collection includes engineered apparel such as multi-pocket pants and weather-resistant jackets. This new partnership between the two brands combines Tilley’s expertise in creating long-lasting outdoor gear with RONA’s presence in serving Canadian professionals and DIYers in home improvement and construction.

“(This partnership) allows RONA to provide our Pro clientele and DIY customers with great innovation, quality and value in workwear from a trusted Canadian brand,” Doug Young, chief merchandizing officer at RONA, said in a press release. “It’s a great add-on in our product offering.”

RONA will sell the Tilley Tuff Workwear line in 100 stores nationally.
