Marketer Moves: Former HelloFresh CMO joins health startup NiaHealth

NiaHealth appoints former HelloFresh marketer as CMO

Newly launched health-tech company NiaHealth has appointed Candy Lee as its first CMO.

In the past, Lee has served in CMO positions at online employee-scheduling service Homebase and meal-kit subscription platform HelloFresh Canada.

Since November 2023, Lee has been working with seed-focused venture capital firm Cowboy Ventures and as an independent adviser and leadership coach, starting in November 2024. She also spent time as a senior brand manager during a seven-plus-year career at Anheuser-Busch.

Lee’s work has received recognition from Cannes Lions, FastCompany, CMA Awards, Media Innovation Awards and more.

NiaHealth combines long-range biomarkers with real-time data to keep members up to date on their health with the goal of early intervention. The Edmonton-based startup made its public debut out of stealth in April, announced national platform enhancements in May and the closing of $5.75 million in seed funds raised in June.

Bolton promotes a director of marketing

Casey Zheng is starting a new position as director of marketing at Bolton, the maker of tuna brand, Rio Mare, sustainable seafood brand Wild Planet and consumer adhesive UHU.

She joined the Italian-based CPG based in Toronto as a brand manager in the fall of 2020 and was tasked in part with helping to grow the Rio Mare brand in Canada.

Previously, Zheng was brand manager of foodservice at Lactalis and a senior analyst of media and analytics for Tim Hortons.

Former Beer Store marketer joins M&M Food Market

Anna Chlebowska is starting a new position as senior brand manager at M&M Food Market, based out of Mississauga.

Chlebowska departed her position as manager of brand and communications earlier this month after more than 13 years at the Ontario retailer.

Prior, as the Beer Store’s marketing supervisor, Chlebowska was responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including in-store, XM, email and media buys for OOH, digital and social media.

She got her start as a graphic designer for Moosehead, for whom she created custom point-of-sale materials, creative design for social-media sites, merchandise designs, large scale banners and in-store promotional signage.

Bimbo Canada hires marketing manager

Melissa Dubord is starting a new position as marketing manager at Bimbo Canada.

Dubord makes the move after more than nine years at Rogers. From October 2023 up until June, she had been in charge of marketing strategies and integrated go-to-market plans as Rogers’s senior manager of brand partnership delivery, digital sales channel.

She previously led content strategy and development as senior manager of partnerships for Fido’s customer engagement program, Fido Xtra.

Agency-side, she was responsible for planning, buying and co-ordinating annual campaigns across multiple channels as a media planning manager with Mediacom in Montreal.
