Cossette Toronto has a new executive VP and managing director. Formerly senior VP and head of the agency’s strategic planning division, Nucleus, Andrew Bergstrom has become the personified nucleus of its Toronto office.
Bergstrom, who brings 20-plus years of experience in strategic planning, brand development, market research and marketing communications to the role, follows in the footsteps of former Toronto EVP Brett Marchand, who became president and CEO of Cossette in November when the company announced its corporate restructuring. That process saw it become a separate incorporated entity under the holding company Vision7 International, and all of its marketing disciplines brought together into one offering.
‘By integrating our services at Cossette we are able to create dramatically more fluid ideas that increase cross-channel engagement and deliver a greater return on investment for our clients’ brands,’ says Bergstrom.
‘It was Andrew’s successful integration of marketing services within our convergent group of clients, such as the Bank of Montreal, that became the basis of our integrated Cossette model,’ added Marchand in a release. ‘Andrew’s other contributions, including the launch of the Idea Factory, a new product innovation practice, have further added to the diversification of our client service.’
Bergstrom previously worked at Volkswagen and Sprint Canada and at agencies Publicis and Young & Rubicam before joining Cossette just over 11 years ago.
