Zulu Alpha Kilo has been selected by the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) to lead its brand reinvention following a competitive review.
For the assignment, Zulu is tasked with developing brand strategy and creative to improve and expand upon the institution’s reach with new audiences, staff, partners and the public at large, effectively helping to “set us up for the future,” according to Kimber Slater, director of brand marketing for the AGO.
“Together, we will create work that brings to life the AGO vision – to lead global conversations from Toronto through extraordinary collections, exhibitions and programs that reflect the people who live here,” she adds. “Our team felt an instant connection with Zulu Alpha Kilo. Their thoughtful responses throughout the process, strong commitment to sustainability and proven history of delivering impressive results were exactly what we are looking for.”
The work will begin in the coming weeks.
This is the first win to be announced by the agency since it made major additions and promotions to its strategic and creative leadership teams earlier this year, promoting Heather Segal and Maxine Thomas to CSO roles, naming Stephanie Yung as chief design officer and Brian Murray as CCO, and adding Jenny Glover as CCO.
As a client, the AGO “aligns with our agency’s founding belief that the world needs more creativity,” says Mike Sutton, president and CEO at Zulu.
“We’re excited to collaborate with the AGO to drive innovation, inspire audiences and propel the institution to new heights with our work,” he adds.
