Check it out: GoEasy gifting

It’s not even December yet, but last year’s holiday giftvertising trend seems to be going strong.

Among the first brands to surprise customers with presents is GoEasy, a retailer and financial services provider.

The brand asked its employees to pick two deserving, long-time customers who would be worthy of a gift delivery this year. One of them, Debra, is featured in the video below, with a second video of another customer coming mid-December.

The videos, created by The Mark Studios, are to promote the “GoEasy Delivers Christmas” online and in-store contest, where customers can enter to win one of 10 prizes valued at $1000. Union is handling media.

The contest was also designed to reflect a new direction for the GoEasy master brand, which launched a year before the company officially changed its name from EasyHome to GoEasy in September. GoEasy, aimed at customers who find themselves in tough financial situations, is now the umbrella for the EasyHome and EasyFinancial sub-brands. Overall, its shift has been from a retailer focused on lease-to-own furniture to more of a financial services provider for customers that can’t get access to credit through traditional channels.

A public Canadian company, GoEasy currently has 360 stores and branches across the country.
