Zulu Alpha Kilo brings in a creative technology director

Zulu Alpha Kilo is welcoming Jeff Vermeersch to the agency family this morning. The former Proximity BBDO tech guru joins ZAK as its creative technology director.

“Jeff’s main responsibility is to work closely with creative teams to solve problems through the lens of technology,” writes CCO and CEO Zak Mroueh in an email to strategy.

“[His] other responsibilities include overseeing technology development, [for example] web site builds, apps, as well as any custom development. His first project out of the gate is to help bring to life a very innovative and potentially ground-breaking idea for one of our clients,” he says, adding that, for confidentially reasons, he is unable to disclose further details.

Vermeersch left his post as Proximity BBDO’s director, creative technology after five years of campaign work for Skittles (“Create the Rainbow”) and M&M’s (“Find Red”), among others. He also previously flexed his creative and technology muscles at agencies Organic and Taxi as well as at UnpluggedTV.com.

“Zulu has a reputation for doing highly creative, innovative and engaging work and it’s awesome to joining such a talented, multi-disciplined team,” said Vermeersch in a release.
