Grip CD and partner Randy Stein has been added to the list of Cannes Lions judges as part of the Branded Content and Entertainment jury, the Globe and Mail has announced.

Stein, who won two Gold Lions for Labatt’s Kokanee’s The Movie Out Here last year, is Canada’s eighth judge at this summer’s festival – up one from last year’s jury count – and its first judge in the Branded Content category. This comes on the heels of pushes from Canadian Cannes organizers to increase the country’s presence at the Palais.

Stein was a judge in the Print category at last year’s Young Marketers and Young Lions competitions.

Juniper Park ECD Barry Quinn will also be heading to the festival this year, replacing graphic artist Marian Bantjes on the Design panel. The other seven Canadian judges were announced earlier this month.
