Toronto’s Plastic Mobile has just picked up a three-year contract with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) to act as its mobile vendor of record for its mobile services roster.
The account will include everything related to mobile, including strategy, design, development and marketing. The account win comes after efforts to modernize OLG and move into the digital space. OLG will launch an internet gaming platform this year, where consumers will be able to play games like slots or video poker, or purchase Lotto 6/49 tickets.
This is considered a mid- to large-sized client for Plastic Mobile, says Melody Adhami, president and COO, Plastic Mobile. The competitive RFP was open to the public, and though she isn’t sure how many other agencies or consultancies pitched the business, she says it was a very competitive process. She can’t divulge when the first batch of mobile work will hit the streets, but she says work will definitely roll out by 2015.
