Mark Pileggi joins TBWA\Toronto

Mark Pileggi joins TBWA\Toronto as its new director of digital and operations.

In his new role, he’ll be responsible for ensuring the agency is integrated in all its practices and he says he’ll be responsible for pushing the idea of “disruption” (which the agency has embraced as a philosophy for more than a decade) through digital and all operations. He’ll work with all clients.

He joins the agency from Proximity, most recently working as VP global director out of the New York office, where he led the Visa business. It was there he met Jay Bertram, president of TBWA\Canada, back when the Toronto agency also worked with Visa. Prior to New York, he worked out of the BBDO Canada office as VP account director.

Bertram adds this is a start of an improved TBWA. He says that while he was president of both TBWA\Canada and Latin America (a title he reduced to just Canada summer 2014) based out of Florida, splitting his time between both offices hindered the agency’s growth. “But now I’m back and adding Mark is a huge addition,” he says. “TBWA is back.”
