DenstuBos president and CEO Claude Carrier is retiring after almost 20 years with the company.

Taking over Carrier’s position is Stephen Kiely (pictured), promoted to the role from his current position of EVP.

Kiely has been with DentsuBos for 13 years, rising through the ranks and most recently overseeing business development, client relations, talent management, and planning and strategy. He will report to Annette Warring, CEO of the Dentsu Aegis Network Canada, in his new role.

Carrier has been in the advertising industry for 35 years, leading the Bos agency prior to its merger with Dentsu, and taking the lead role at DentsuBos in 2012. He helped launch the Dentsu Aegis–owned digital agency 360i in 2013 and Dentsu Media in 2015.

For its part, the Dentsu Aegis Network has made several big announcements in the first half of the year, including adding to its C-suite in January, tapping Adrian Capobianco to lead Vizeum and acquiring creative shop Grip.
