There’s no peace and quiet anymore, not even on the lofty peaks of the French Alps. But that’s something to celebrate, say Rogers and mountain guide Michael Horst. The Squamish, B.C. resident narrates the telco’s new spot, which shows how Horst uses the Rogers network and roaming to stay in touch with his wife and kids back home, one of whom is a budding adventurer.

Bell, meanwhile, has a spot for those of us who remember the days when every sidewalk and laundry machine was a basketball court. The boy in the ad takes his laptop to his driveway hoop for instructions on his follow-through, while his father records his big-game breakthrough on his phone and shows off his son’s game-winning shot the next day at work.
