HivesNewCreative

Toronto’s The Hive has named a new creative director amidst several additions to its creative ranks.

Meghan Kraemer, who joined The Hive in 2012, has been promoted to the CD role. Taking over her former ACD position is Yilma Campbell, who joins with experience from Trevor/Peter Communications, Sandbox and Taxi.

The Hive has also hired the creative team of copywriter Nicholas Schembri and art director Teresa De Paz, who were most recently at Send&Receive.

The newest hires join three other recent additions to the creative deparment: junior art director Marvin Veloso (a former freelancer who was hired in November), design director Yana Vorontsov (who was hired from the internal creative team at Equitable Bank in April) and copywriter Cara Lau (who also joined in April from Diamond).

In an email to strategy, Simon Creet, partner and CCO at The Hive, cited new work with Coca-Cola, McCain and OLG, among others, as reason for the creative expansion.
