The Garden has added two more clients to its expanding roster, winning assignments on both sides of the border with the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and U.S.-based residential rental property developer Subtext.
For Bloorview, the largest children’s rehabilitation hospital in the country and a leader in its field, The Garden will develop a new awareness campaign. The hospital, which has operated for nearly 125 years, cares for kids with disabilities and those requiring rehabilitation after illness and trauma. The agency’s focus will be on raising awareness about the institution’s patients, while also debunking misrepresentations of their conditions.
“From our very first meeting, the team at The Garden demonstrated deep interest in collaborating with us to create a campaign that both meets our goals and nudges us out of our comfort zone – exactly what we need,” says Ashleigh Saith, VP of strategy and public engagement with the foundation. “Their onboarding process is unlike any other we’ve been through and stands out for its thoroughness and careful consideration of our unique must-haves.”
The hospital had worked with Forsman & Bodenfors Canada since 2017, most recently working on a campaign that tackled disability stigmas through the words and imaginations of kids themselves.
The Garden has also won work with Subtext, which currently houses more than 7,000 people in the U.S. and has more than $1.7 billion worth of mixed-use projects in its development pipeline. The Garden will be tasked with repositioning and refreshing the brand.
“We first noticed The Garden’s work through their work with Fitzrovia,” says Heather Quijas, director of marketing at Subtext. The Garden has been working with real estate developer Fitzrovia to reimagine its corporate masterbrand and brand identity.
“We are going through a rebranding exercise, and The Garden made our shortlist of agencies we wanted to learn more about. After many meetings with various firms, we had a meeting with The Garden’s team, and immediately understood why their work stood out,” Quijas adds.
The two new wins follow a string of new clients for the agency – all part of its plan for growth that kicked off a year ago with the full-time addition of Andy Macaulay as chief growth officer. Since then, the Garden has won assignments with the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) Foundation, Intrepid Travel, TG Appliance Group and Dymon Storage.
“We are thrilled to be working with two organizations that are leaders in their respective fields,” says Shane Ogilvie, co-founder at the agency. “We are tireless supporters of brands that align with our philosophy of leaving the world a better place than we found it, and we can’t wait to help both leave their mark.”
