WPP has named new leadership for the North American arm of its global content production company Hogarth Worldwide.
Dave Carey joins the agency from Oliver, where he had been working for more than five years and was appointed president for Canada in October.
At Hogarth, he will have a similar role as president of Canada and managing director for growth in North America. Specifically, he is tasked with leading its growth strategy across North America while overseeing operations in Canada and Chicago.
North America has been identified by Hogarth “as the market with the fastest and largest growth potential,” according to Natasha Cholerton-Brown, the agency’s newly-appointed CEO of the Americas, to whom Carey will report.
“Dave joins my Americas team at a truly critical and exciting time,” she adds. “I could not be more thrilled to welcome him to our impressive management team and feel confident that his proven growth background and builder’s mindset will set us on a strong path of continued and sustainable growth.”
“Content that connects with people’s needs and desires is in high demand,” says Carey of his new appointment. “Hogarth’s ability to combine creativity with technology to produce content that is culturally relevant puts them in perfect alignment with consumer and client ambitions.”
While leading Oliver’s Canadian expansion, Carey led campaigns for companies including Unilever, Molson Coors, CIBC, Adidas, WestJet, 3M and Manulife.
