Thinkingbox has appointed a new managing director for its Toronto office, naming Alyssa Belova to lead its team out of its new, 10,000 square foot office space.
Belova joined the agency in 2017 as a producer and rose through its ranks to become director of production in 2021. Now, she will harness that production expertise to lead the office that the agency intends to make its go-to production unit. She replaces Christine Clark, who moved from the Toronto office to open an outpost in New York last year and had been managing the Toronto team with Belova in the intervening months.
Belova has played a key role at Thinkingbox, working on brands including Genesis, Verizon, American Express, Corona and The Keg. With Amex, she worked on a partnership with Coachella to deliver a unique experiential opportunity to festivalgoers. “Her superhero-level production skills and valuable opinions have been a driving force in our success in Toronto,” says Amir Sahba, founder and CEO of the company.
“Alyssa is an incredible leader and one of the most impressive individuals I have had the pleasure of working with,” he adds. “I look forward to seeing her continue to shine in this new role.”
In the role, Belova will guide the growth of the agency’s Toronto office, looking to expand its team and client roster while also helping to support the agency’s operations on an international scale.
“I’m excited to lead the Toronto team and help drive the company to even greater success,” she says. “I can’t wait to see what we will achieve together in this chapter.”
