SkipTheDishes hires Rachel MacAdam as VP of marketing

Rachel MacAdam has joined SkipTheDishes as VP of marketing.

MacAdam will lead Canadian marketing and be part of the global marketing leadership team for parent company JustEatTakeaway.

MacAdam is a more than 13-year veteran of LoyalyOne, where she led marketing efforts for Air Miles and was most recently SVP of marketing and collector experience. She left LoyaltyOne last fall; the company would go on to seek creditor protection in March and sell Air Miles to BMO.

Skip’s VP of marketing role had previously been occupied by Cheryl Radisa since 2020. SkipTheDishes told strategy through an email from its PR agency that Radisa “made the decision earlier this year to transition [away] from corporate life.”

SkipTheDishes has had a number of changes to its leadership team in recent months. In the spring, Steve Puchala, then the company’s SVP of growth and partner success, took the helm as interim CEO of the food delivery company after Howard Migdal moved into a new role as EVP of North America and CEO of U.S.-based sister company GrubHub. Puchala noted that as part of his mandate, he wanted to extend Skip’s reach beyond its core business, and deliver other categories such as pharmaceuticals and pet supplies.

In July, SkipTheDishes also promoted Melanie Fatouros-Richardson to VP of communications and government relations, and newly created role on the company’s leadership team.

Earlier this summer, Skip launched a pilot project in Vancouver and Edmonton through Walmart Now, promising delivery of groceries and staples in 30 minutes or less, and delivered by Skip couriers through dark stores.
