Gut CSO steps aside
Dino Demopoulos is leaving his post as chief strategy officer at Gut.
Demopoulos joined the budding Gut network more than three years ago to help set up the agency in Canada as the new AOR for Tim Hortons.
Tasked with stewarding Tim Hortons’ business, the shop’s work led to the QSR winning its first Cannes Lions and, according to Demopoulos, “ushered in a new era of marketing” for the chain.
Demopoulos, before joining Gut, was No Fixed Address’s first chief strategy officer, and also worked as senior VP and head of strategy for DDB,
Creative consultancy Brief opens its doors
Former Hill+Knowlton Strategies creative directors and Greg Gray have launched Brief, which they’ve dubbed as a “strategically-minded creative consultancy with a unique pricing model.”
Pfizer, Deloitte, Keurig and Amazon.
Grey is a former associate creative director and writer at Public, tasked with overseeing and developing creative for City of Toronto, the Canadian Diabetes Association, Feed Opportunity (through Maple Leaf Foods), Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the YMCA.
Brief is said to offer flexibility to clients with three distinct creative products, two of which are subscription-based. They are called Spark, Socialite and Specialized. Each one is a different tool with its own pricing model and they all allow the team to be hands-on for every project while bringing in expertise from a select group as needed.
