Hydro-Québec picks Cossette as co-lead creative

Hydro-Québec has chosen Cossette as co-lead creative, content, relationship marketing, media, as well as one of its digital agencies, following a rigorous tender.

“It is with immense pride that Cossette becomes Hydro-Québec’s partner of choice for a broad range of strategic and creative projects,” says Louis Duchesne, president for Quebec and Eastern Canada at Cossette.

“By drawing on several of our areas of expertise, we will bring the full strength of Cossette to support Hydro-Québec in its communication and marketing activities, which are essential for Quebec’s energy transformation.”

The crown utility company also named LG2 as its co-lead integrated creative agency and digital agency of record this week.

Sprout & Harvest relaunches

Sprout & Harvest Growth Partners, a Vancouver financial services marketing agency, has relaunched.

Sprout & Harvest is devoted to credit unions, challenger banks, wealth firms and industry service providers.

First operational between the spring of 2017 and 2022, when it became known as Sprout & Harvest Marketing, the shop helped credit unions build deeper relationships and attract new members through digital experience and product strategy.

The venture is the brainchild of founder and CEO Ron Cann, an ex-VP of marketing and communications for First West Credit Union in Greater Vancouver. He also served in the same capacity for Vancouver’s QTrade Financial Group and was senior manager of marketing for North Shore Credit Union.

The creative and brand lead is Jon Maltby, who is an ex-creative director of Fully Automatic, Lululemon and WPP’s Blast Radius.

Siren call for Canadians dreaming of Mexican vacation

Toronto travel and tourism PR shop, Siren Communications, is supporting the Los Cabos Tourism Board for fall work to lure Canadian travellers to the sunny Mexican destination.

Campaign elements will include a visiting media program, live on-site national broadcast, support for a Canadian LGBTQ+ charity and influencer content.

Siren won the AOR remit this summer.

Brookline rides with FIM World Supercross Vancouver

Brookline PR has signed on to support FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) in Vancouver.

The event, which is part of an international freestyle motocross championship led by SX Global in Australia, is having its season opener in Vancouver in October. The Brookline team will be supporting the event through media relations and on-site support before and during the event.
