Dolan, formerly VP digital at Cossette, says he made the decision to start his own consulting firm following conversations over the past 12 months, in which it became apparent to him that the need for his type of service is growing. Businesses are having deeper conversations about the ROI they are getting from digital, he says, sparked by larger investment in the space and more senior-level scrutiny.

“It’s an exciting time,” he adds. “I am dwelling on how complicated it is but the reality is the opportunities are really exciting right now for folks who can connect the dots and make the decisions to improve their marketing results.
Since launching in February, Dolan says he has secured two clients, though he declined to name them. He is working independently but is linked to a network of freelancers he can reach out to.
Before joining Cossette in 2010, he was previously VP, strategy, North America eastern region at Blast Radius. He started his career working brand side, with stints at Rogers as an e-business manager and as a strategy consultant at Molson.

I am dwelling on how complicated it is but the reality is the opportunities are really exciting right now for folks who can connect the dots and make the decisions to improve their marketing results.”
