TBWA wins toy distributor

TBWA\Canada’s Toronto office has won the business for RP Toys, a toy distribution company based in Mississauga, Ontario.

The agency will create new social and digital assets and adapt TV materials for the company’s 2015 product lineup. It will also be responsible for enhancing RP Toys’ brand identity as a company. TBWA joins a communications team that also includes Swerve Public Relations.

In addition to distribution and sales for the Canadian market, RP Toys also offers full marketing support to its partners, including creative, media and strategic planning. Founded in 1995 when it brought board games Tri-Bond and Mad Gap to Canada, the company’s current partnerships see it handling products including Etch-A-Sketch, Tekno the Robotic Puppy, Waterbabies and Nickelodeon’s Gak and Floam.

Jay Bertram, president of TBWA\Canada, says the win is another example of the agency’s recent focus on helping Canadian entrepreneurs grow, referring to other recent client wins like MuscleCare, Frisky Beaver and ScratchVox.
