Tank hires a VP to foster international collaboration

Tank is eyeing more collaboration between its global offices with the newest addition on its leadership team, hiring Thomas Lecordier as VP of integration and innovation.

Working from Montreal, Lecordier will be responsible for managing integration between Tank’s international offices and bringing talent within Montreal to work with global clients. He will also be responsible for integrating digital services into the day-to-day operations of the agency network and fostering innovation.

International expansion has been a priority for Tank since its acquisition by WPP-owned Grey in late 2016, a year in which the agency rapidly expanded as it continued to evolve beyond its healthcare roots and into other sectors. Already operating in Montreal, Toronto and New York at the time, it has since opened offices in London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Dusseldorf and Singapore.

Lecordier was most recently EVP of integration at Publicis Montreal, and prior to that, he was VP of brand strategy and integration at Ogilvy Montreal. He also brings international experience from agencies in Paris. Marc Lanouette, president of Tank and CEO of Grey Canada, said that experience “coincides perfectly with the new needs of the agency.”

Last month, Tank announced a number of new hires and promotions, including a new global CD for its health practice, which followed roughly a dozen new additions in late 2018.
