Taxi 2 has added a half-dozen new hires to its creative and account departments to better serve its expanding business.
Copywriter Miryam Weinstein and art director Alyssa Graff have both come over from DDB Canada. The pair were hired full time as a creative team at DDB last year (Graff in September and Weinstein in December) after completing internships at the agency. Joining them in the creative department are copywriter Dana Ciani, previously an intern at John St., and art director Nicole Grimshaw, previously an intern and freelancer at Proximity Canada.
On the account side, Haneen Davies has joined as a group account director after a year as senior account director at Edelman. Prior to going agency-side, Davies worked with CPG companies including PepsiCo (as a brand manager on Doritos and Tostitos) and Unilever (as assistant brand manager on Axe and Becel).
Daniel Sherrington has also been hired as an account manager after completing an internship with Taxi.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time at [Taxi 2] with our current clients firing on all cylinders and lots of new business coming through the door,” said Daniel Shearer, general manager at Taxi 2, in a release, pointing to an expanded Campbell’s portfolio and adding the Union of Solicitor General Employees as a client as reasons for the growth.
Earlier this year, the agency also won AOR duties for Leon’s. In July, Shawn James returned to the agency as an ACD to fill the vacancies left by Kelsey Horne and Alexis Bronstorph, but also to help provide extra leadership to the creative department following its recent wins.
