FCB Montreal has named the third member of its management team, appointing Jenn Larry as its VP of strategy.

Larry joined the team – which already included Sylvain Dufresne, head of creative, and Laurence Ohayon, general manager – following a rigorous selection process that began in February when the agency announced that it was restructuring its leadership with the departure of former president Samia Chebeir.

Larry brings more than two decades of client- and agency-side experience working both on national and international clients in markets including Korea, Malaysia, South Africa, Jamaica, the U.K. and the U.S. Among the clients she has worked with are Sony Music, Universal Music, British American Tobacco, P&G, Sanafi, Essilor and IBM. In addition, she founded and was president of the CBD Strategy Group, a consultancy that assisted companies in the legal cannabis sector with the development of sustainable and profitable business and marketing programs, provided education to senior leadership, and refined their brand and product portfolios.

According to Ohayon, Larry’s “entrepreneurial and strategic vision,” as well as passion for business and creative development, is what made her stand out during the selection process.

At the time of the restructuring, FCB president Bryan Kane said the agency was looking to “capitalize on the opportunities that exist in Quebec.” Larry, who brings experience in a number of disruptive, emerging and highly-regulated sectors, will lead the agency’s strategy team as it endeavours to do precisely that.
