Scene+ arrives at Home Hardware

Shoppers can now earn Scene+ points at 1,000 Home Hardware stores across Canada and at the home improvement retailer’s website.

Canadians can earn loyalty rewards on tools, paint, hardware, lumber, building materials, furniture and other items via Scene+ Loyalty Card and the Scotiabank Scene+ Visa Card. Shoppers will earn 50 points for every $50 spent in a single in-store or online purchase, earning double points when paying with a Scotiabank Scene+ Visa Card.

Every 1,000 Scene+ points can be redeemed for $10 off any Home Hardware purchase.

“Our dealers are always looking for ways to bring value to their customers and now with Home Hardware joining Scene+, Canadians can instantly redeem points for the tools and products needed to complete their home improvement projects,” says Kevin Macnab, president and CEO of Home Hardware.

Tracey Pearce, president of Scene+, said in a press release that Home Hardware adds home improvement into what has been growing into a “leading lifestyle program.”

Scene+ has been evolving since Empire came on as a co-owner in 2022 last year. Over the past 12 months, the company has been rolling the program out across Sobeys, Safeway, Foodland, IGA, Voila and Lawtons Drugs, as well as its liquor stores in Western Canada.

That move has expanded Scene+ into a program that was primarily associated with Cineplex movie theatres to one that had more a broad reach across categories. Members can also earn points through Recipe Unlimited restaurants, booking travel through a partnership with Expedia and making online purchases through Rakuten.
