Agency Moves: Changes at Response Innovations, FCB/SIX and Agnostic

Response Innovations names CCO

Indie Toronto CRM agency, Response Innovations (RI), has named Kari King chief creative officer.

“Bringing [her] into the mix of our highly experienced leadership team is the next step to ensuring our growth, allowing us to deliver our unique offering to more audiences [on] both sides of the border,” says Scot Riches, RI’s president and chief CRM officer.

King will also oversee and collaborate with executive creative director Daniel Westgate, who will continue to manage the agency’s roster of creative talent.

Prior to joining RI, King was tenured at Track, part of Omnicom Precision Marketing Group (OPMG) and formerly part of the DDB network. She spent eight years at the agency and left as executive creative director. She also served as senior copywriter with FCB/SIX for three years.

Jennifer McQuaig Joins FCB as vice president, strategy

FCB has appointed Jennifer McQuaig to lead strategy practice for FCB/SIX, the shop’s data and CRM agency.

In her new role, McQuaig will lead strategies spanning customer growth and loyalty, omni-channel experience and marketing transformation. She has previous experience in banking, payments, retail and healthcare.

She was most recently VP of membership engagement and experience at League, overseeing full stack strategy for clients such as Loblaw/Shoppers Drug Mart, Highmark and Optum.

McQuaig spent more than a decade at LoyaltyOne (Air Miles), where she served as general manager of partnerships and client services and worked with brands such like BMO, Samsung, Wealthsimple and Intact.

“[McQuaig’s] experience with data and martech, coupled with her love of creativity will help us drive greater consumer engagement and success for our clients across the Canadian market,” says Shelley Brown, chief strategy officer at FCB Canada.

Agnostic ups three

Agnostic has made three promotions into senior roles.

Sherri-Lyn Brown [pictured above] has been promoted to senior vice president, Ceilidh McMeekin has been promoted to senior director and Emily O’Rourke is now senior account manager.

Most recently, Brown was Agnostic’s VP and consumer lead. Previously, she was a VP at Edelman for nearly 10 years. In an 18-year career, she has worked at global and boutique agencies, leading integrated campaigns for brands in CPG, consumer health, QSR, retail, travel and hospitality and more.

McMeekin was recently a director at Agnostic. Before joining the agency, she served as brand communications manager with Canadian Tire. She has also curated and executed brand experiences and connections on behalf of Sport Chek through traditional media, influencer relations and events

O’Rourke has more than five years of experience leading campaigns for some of Canada’s top tech and corporate brands.
