Lucie Guillemette, Air Canada’s EVP and chief commercial officer, is closing the book on a 36-year career with the carrier.
Guillemette, who is responsible for the airline’s commercial strategies, will retire at the end of April, and Air Canada is realigning its senior management structure in response to her departure.
Mark Nasr, SVP of products, marketing and ecommerce, will become EVP of marketing and digital, in addition to his role as president of the Aeroplan loyalty program. Mark Galardo, SVP of network planning and revenue management, will become EVP of revenue and network planning, which includes responsibility for Air Canada Vacations. The new appointments will be effective May 1.
Guillemette began her career at Air Canada in 1987 as a customer service and sales agent, eventually holding increasingly senior roles in marketing and commercial positions.
In her present role, which also includes being president of Air Canada Vacations, she has oversight for optimizing all commercial activities for the airline and its regional partners, including network planning and management, revenue performance, product, marketing, branding, sales and distribution activities worldwide.
Nasr first joined Air Canada in 2016, working on its loyalty, ecomm and CRM team. He was named president of Aeroplan in 2019 shortly after the airline re-acquired the loyalty program.
