Tefron hires CPG vet as marketing director
CPG vet Anna Maria Kounougeris is the new marketing director for intimates and activewear manufacturer Tefron, which is an Israeli company with offices in Montreal, New York and Shanghai.
Kounougeris previously worked as a marketing director with Montreal-based perfume, cosmetics and skincare company, Guerlain Canada.
Before joining Guerlain, Kounougeris was VP of global marketing for Ren Clean Skincare, a position she held for more than two years, also out of Montreal. She also previously spearheaded the reinvention of the in-store retail experience for Dermalogica’s flagship location in London from conception to launch, serving as a strategic project director for the skincare brand, and led UK and Irish marketing strategy.
Grant Thornton adds senior marketer
Rhea Black is starting a new role as manager of marketing and communications for the accounting and business advisory firm, Grant Thornton.
Black was previously a marketing strategist with the engineering and design firm, CBCL. In a nearly four-year stint with Deloitte Canada, Black held various marketing roles including specialist. Agency side, she’s previously worked for National PR.
The Forest Stewardship Council Canada promotes its top Canadian marketer to president and CEO
The Forest Stewardship Council Canada has named Monika Patel its new president and CEO, effective January 1, 2025, succeeding François Dufresne, who will stay on as an advisor. Patel, currently the director of communications and marketing for FSC Canada, will start her transition as deputy Canadian president on July 1.
The Forest Stewardship Council is an international organization focused on sustainable forestry management, headquartered in Germany. Its Canadian branch has offices in Montreal and Toronto.
Surrey Hospitals Foundation promotes a marketer
Brittany Chiu is starting starting a new position as brand and content manager at Surrey Hospitals Foundation.
Having worked at the foundation for nearly five years, Chiu is also formerly a marketing and communications specialist, tasked to translate the brand’s strategic priorities into visual creative assets including print collateral, website, email communications, social media, videos, and digital and traditional advertising.
