DDB Canada has named Kevin Drew Davis as its new chief creative officer, leading the agency’s creative offerings across Canada. According to a release on the new role it’s the first time one CCO has led the creative charge across all platforms in the country for the shop.

Davis most recently worked as executive VP at Digitas Chicago, where he was responsible for the Chicago and San Francisco offices, working with clients including Sprint, eBay, Taco Bell and Miller Coors. Prior to working at Digitas Chicago, Davis held positions including EVP and group creative director of digital at Draftfcb in Chicago, SVP and director of digital strategy and interactive creative director at Publicis in Seattle and Dallas, and global interactive creative director at Wieden+Kennedy across their Portland, NY, London, Tokyo and Amsterdam offices.

“We have been searching across the globe for a strong leader with the right blend of strategic, creative and digital expertise who will inspire both our staff and our clients, and take our work to another level,” said David Leonard, national president and chief operating officer of DDB Canada in a release on the move. “Kevin is a world-class creative leader in every dimension. He possesses impeccable credentials and his deep digital knowledge and experience will help us to rapidly accelerate the agency’s evolution to delivering a completely seamless and convergent creative offering.”

“DDB Canada has been on my radar for some time.  From the senior executive team to its creative leaders, everyone I’ve met has demonstrated an unwavering passion for their work,” said Davis. “DDB’s culture is balanced with a tremendous amount of humility and integrity, which is a rare combination. For me, it’s all about the people that surround you.”

Davis will work out of DDB Canada’s Toronto office and starts at the agency next Monday.
