DDB wins Trader Corporation

The agency and media co OMD Canada are responsible for relaunching the brand's Autotrader.ca site.

DDB Canada and OMD Canada have been named the creative and media agencies of record for the Trader Corporation’s Autotrader.ca.

The agencies are responsible for changing consumer perception of the brand, which lists new and used vehicles, from a print classified to a digital destination, according to a press release on the win.

The first multi-platform campaign developed by the agencies is set to launch at the beginning of March.

“Autotrader has a long history of being Canada’s go-to source for automotive classifieds, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to drive the brand forward in the digital realm,” says Melanie Johnston, SVP managing director, DDB Canada, in the release. “We are developing a highly-strategic, multi-channel creative campaign to increase awareness of the brand as the place to buy and sell vehicles online and drive traffic to Autotrader.ca.”
