Shaw is Rethink’s new client

Rethink has won a portion of Calgary-based media and cable company Shaw’s business.

“I can confirm that we’re working with Shaw and it’s exciting,” said Rethink’s co-creative director Chris Staples. “There’s going to be work hitting the market and we’ll be able to talk a lot more then.”

Staples said the arrangement came together “relatively quickly” over the past month and that most of the work on the account will be done at Rethink’s Vancouver office.

In an emailed statement, Shaw’s vice-president of marketing Katherine Emberly said, “We have added Rethink to our roster of great partners including BBDO and PHD.” She did not offer further details on the agreement.

The news comes three months after Shaw appointed Jim Little as chief marketing officer. He was tasked with leading the strategic direction for the overall marketing and brand experience for all lines of business at the company.
