Omnicom-owned agencies Juniper Park\TBWA, DDB Canada and Bolt Productions are consolidating their leadership under the name TBWA\Group Canada and the direction of CEO Eve Rémillard-Larose (pictured, right), formerly DDB Canada’s CEO.
The agencies will maintain their existing branding in the Canadian market, and Montreal’s Tam Tam\TBWA will continue to work with them as it always has, but the centralized leadership structure will take immediate effect and is intended to “build on the respective agencies’ strong foundations to deliver a wider breadth of capability and scale for our clients,” according to Troy Ruhanen, TBWA\Worldwide CEO.
“The decision to organize ourselves this way is bold and will ultimately strengthen our potential to offer integrated solutions that drive growth for our clients, our people and our operations,” says Rémillard-Larose.
The shift is prompted by the resignation of Jill Nykoliation, CEO of Juniper Park\TBWA, who has announced she will be stepping down after serving in the role for more than seven years, and working at the company in a leadership capacity – she had been its co-founder and president – for 16 years. She will also continue to serve in an advisory role to Rémillard-Larose until March. Nykoliation recommended Rémillard-Larose – who became CEO of DDB Canada last year – as her successor.
Rémillard-Larose “shares our deep passion and ambition for delivering disruptive creative solutions for clients,” Nykoliation said in a statement. “I’m both proud and excited for Eve to take the leadership reins of the Group.”
Also departing Juniper Park\TBWA is Jenny Glover, its CCO, who has resigned from her role and will be leaving in March, the company confirmed. She joined the agency as its ECD from its sister agency, TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris South Africa, in 2018 and was promoted to CCO with the departure of Graham Lang in 2022. The agency will be seeking a new CCO, says Rémillard-Larose, but has also promoted Neil Walker-Wells from group CD to ECD “to lead the creative department while we look.”
“We are sorry to see Jenny go. She is an incredible creative leader and mentor to her peers. She leaves with our support having had seven great years at the collective,” says Ruhanen. “We wish her the very best for her future.”
