Plus Company acquires martech consultancy Munvo

Plus Company is deepening its marketing technology expertise with the acquisition of consulting firm Munvo.

The company’s addition to the Plus Company network “reflects out commitment to fostering tech-infused creativity and continued growth and collaboration among our agencies,” says Melanie Dunn, its Canadian president.

Munvo is headquarted in Montreal and has more than 120 employees spanning Canada, the U.S. and Africa. Its roster of clients includes a number of Fortune 500 companies spanning sectors such as banking and investment, telecommunications, healthcare and pharma, travel and hospitality, entertainment and gaming.

In addition to its consulting services, Munvo’s internal development team, MunvoLab, has established formal partnerships with Adobe, Salesforce, SAS, Unica Marketing Solutions, Pegasystems, Redpoint Global and ActionIQ, developing products and connectors for leading martech providers through those relationships. Those products include systems for managing SMS messages, events and quality assurance, as well as tools for automating workflows and personalized communications.

Plus Company CEO Brett Marchand says Munvo was a “natural fit” due to its “independent and entrepreneurial spirit.”

“Our depth of expertise, passion and global roster of clients will be a significant asset to Plus Company and its clients,” adds Nabil Taydi, president of Munvo. “We look forward to collaborating with complementary agencies within the network.”

Tech has been earmarked as a key area of development for the Plus Company network since it was first established in May 2021. The acquisition of creative agencies with strong tech expertise, such as Mekanism, has been key to its expansion, as has the addition of technologically savvy leaders.

The Munvo acquisition is the next step in that development.

“Their talented team and deep knowledge of the marketing technology space will serve to strengthen our network and enable us to go deeper in our services and value to clients,” Marchand explains.

The financial details of the acquisition, which recently closed, were not available. There will be no changes to Munvo’s leadership team.
