As its previous marketing lead prepares for a new opportunity, P&G Canada has appointed two long-time executives to take over her duties.
Jennifer Seiler has been named P&G’s SVP of marketing for Canada, responsible for all brand operations in the market. At the same time, Melody Wallis is making the move from the company’s IT function to become VP of analytics, insights and technology for Canada, using the practices to deliver on the company’s goals of “making a difference in consumers’ lives everyday.”
Seiler has been with P&G for more than 22 years, most recently as VP of the grooming category in Canada, a role she took on last year (she will continue leading this portfolio, in addition to her new marketing duties). She has led brands including Gillette, Venus, Crest, and Downy, as well as their customer marketing.
Wallis is also a veteran with more than two decades of experience with P&G in both Canada and the U.K. She became chief information officer for Canada in 2021, though she also has experience in the company’s sales, marketing, data, financial services, supply chain and manufacturing functions.
The pair are taking over responsibilities that were previously held by Bethanie Butcher, who was named VP of marketing, analytics and insights for P&G Canada in 2020. Butcher – who has held various roles with the company across international offices over the last 19 years – is relocating to Panama to become the company’s SVP, analytics and insights, for Latin America.
