Rethink, Zulu Alpha Kilo leads Canadian agencies at 2024 ADC Awards

The ADC Awards were handed out this week and Canadian ad agencies were well-represented among this year’s winners.

The most decorated Canadian agency at this year’s awards was Rethink, which picked up 21 awards, including five Gold Cubes. The golds were awarded to Rethink’s “Heinz Ketchup Fraud” campaign for Kraft Heinz in Poster – Series, Newspaper – Series and Social Media campaign, as well as to Rethink’s “Coors Lights Out” campaign in Direct Marketing – Wildcard, and Innovation – Promotional Materials.

Rethink’s other honours recognized its “Jumping Through Hoops” campaign for Tangerine, the “KitKat Ramadan Iftar Bar” campaign for Nestle, the RGD Branding Awards for the Association of Registered Graphic Designers and “Heinz Slow This Ad” for Kraft Heinz

The next highest ranked Canadian agency at the ADC Awards this year was Zulu Alpha Kilo, which picked up six honours. The agency’s haul was highlighted by a Gold Cube for its “Splash Spots” campaign for Street Lab in the Product Design category. Its other awards recognized the agency’s “The Planet’s Scariest Bouquet” campaign for Environmental Leadership Canada and “Unstandardized Desk” for D2L.

Montreal-based Sid Lee won three awards for its “The Family Cookvault” campaign for IGA (Sobeys), including a gold in the category of Books (Limited Edition – Private Press – Special Format). Citizen Relations also picked up three awards, receiving the honours for its “Asshole Activists” campaign for Tushy, highlighted by a Gold Cube for Photography in the Design for Good category.

Canada’s other agency winners at this year’s ADC Awards, picking up various Silver, Bronze and Merit awards included Cossette (eight awards), Courage (four) LG2 (three), Twice Studio (one), Critical Mass (one), C&B Advertising (one), Concrete (one), Klick Health (one), Narrative (one), Publicis Toronto (one) and Wavemaker (one).
