Top Turo Canada marketer now a senior director
Bassem El-Rahimy (pictured above) is starting a new position as senior director, Canada (managing director) at Turo.
El-Rahimy most recently worked as the peer-to-peer auto sharer’s senior director of marketing. He joined Turo in 2016 as an associate, operations.
Last summer, El-Rahimy oversaw Turo Canada’s messaging for its team up with Metrolinx’s GO Transit network to spur interest in the car sharing service.
Manulife names new AVP
Adiela Aviram (pictured above) is starting a new position as AVP of customer marketing at Manulife.
For four years, she held the title of practice leader, cookieless marketing transformation and retail media for Deloitte Canada.
Agency-side, Aviram previously worked as associate director of digital marketing for DAC Group.
RBC Capital Markets makes senior XM promotion
Sejal Solanki is starting a new position as director and regional head of conference and event marketing, Canada at RBC Capital Markets.
A 10-year veteran of RBC Capital Markets, Solanki most recently worked as vice president of conference and event marketing.
Toronto lux hotel names top marketer
Marina Hernandez is the new director of marketing for Marriott-owned St. Regis Hotel in Toronto, formerly the Trump International Hotel and Tower Toronto.
She most recently worked as marketing manager for the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, and sales and marketing coordinator, Hilton Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
