Hockey Canada names director, creative services

Jennifer Robins (pictured above) has been promoted to director of creative services for Hockey Canada.

Robins previously held the posts of senior manager of creative and senior manager of community and brand in Calgary.

She oversaw work by content creators, graphic designers, project managers and language translators. Her team supported events, sponsorship, social media, marketing and brand, hockey operations, communications and content.

Earlier this month, Hockey Canada named Jody Kingsbury director of marketing.

U of T bolsters its XM team

Andrea Smitko is starting a new position as marketing and communications officer of spaces and experiences at University of Toronto. Previously, she was a communications officer in the school’s Faculty of Arts and Science.

Prior to joining U of T, Smitko was a senior publicist with Penguin Random House and developed and executed national marketing and publicity strategies for multiple authors and book releases. Before that, she handled media relations management for the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.

Labatt boosts its channel marketing

Kashni Kalra is starting a new position as market program execution specialist of channel marketing at Labatt Breweries of Canada. She was most recently trade marketing planner with the brewery.

Before Labatt, she worked as a senior analyst for research and advisory projects with market intelligence firm, Valona, formerly M-Brain.
