Ferrero Rocher is giving Ontario residents a chance to win a lux premium dining experience at Constantine in Toronto in December through its “Add Your Golden Touch” contest microsite.
Abeera Hassan, Ferrero Canada’s senior brand manager of premium chocolate, says there is an art to hosting and impressing guests that Ferrero wants to tap into as a premium brand, positioning itself as “the gold standard for chocolate gift-giving” around the holidays.
Contest winners will receive a Ferrero Rocher-inspired holiday dinner hosted by culinary expert Chef Craig Harding and entertaining guru Jasmine Baker. Attendees will also participate in a creative workshop, where they will create custom host gifts.
“Add Your Golden Touch” (AYGT) is part of a global campaign that was brought to life locally. The chocolate brand is harnessing paid social, paid media and integrations, influencer and earned media to drive awareness.
AYGT will be seen across multiple channels, including packaging and POS displays with a QR code. There are chances to win gift cards for Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma and Crate & Barrel. Digital prizing includes tips on holiday hosting from Ferrero Rocher’s curated how-to videos, plus the chance to win Ferrero Rocher Chocolate Towers.
“Our packaging, POS, digital, experiential, media, PR and social efforts all complement each other to present the program as a cohesive whole to consumers throughout the holiday season,” Hassan says, adding that it will continue to have a strong presence in its existing retail channel, to help build visibility.
Mindshare is handling the media buy, Proof Experiences experiential and social, Golin, influencer and media relations.
