Taxi 2 defends the moustache

The agency aims to take the creepy out of upper lip hair with its new digital spot.

Taxi 2 is aiming to make men’s lives who are sporting a Movember moustache a little easier with a new video produced with Toronto-based Radke Film Group.

Jeff MacEachern, creative director, Taxi 2, says the agency approached Movember to create the spot because they are big fans of the cause, which raises money for prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives.

The organization relies on donated ad placements, so for the time being the ad, which addresses the creepy factor of moustaches, is living on YouTube.

“Our inspiration for the ad comes from us all feeling a little creepy with moustaches during the month of November,” says MacEachern. “Especially before Movember was as popular as it is now you would have to explain that you had the moustache because you were doing it for Movember.”
