Saatchi & Saatchi boosts creative department

Saatchi & Saatchi has added to its growing creative department, hiring Matt Antonello and Joel Arbez as creative group heads and Michelle Orlando, formerly head of broadcast at John St., as head of production.

Antonello, who worked with DDB and Rethink, was freelancing as a writer and CD, while Arbez was an associate CD at Rethink.

“These new hires round out the changes and additions that we’ve wanted to make in the department since we became ECDs,” Saatchi EVP and co-ECD Brian Sheppard, said in a release.  “They’re the final pieces of the puzzle that we wanted to put in place.”

Saatchi has made several additions to its creative department over the past year, including Rob Gendron and Andrei Babichuk, who both previously worked at Leo Burnett and JWT and joined as ACDs earlier this year, to work on the Toyota and GO Transit accounts. Copywriter and ACD Cass Zawadowski also joined the agency recently from Grey New York.

Saatchi also recently hired writer Shauna Roe and art director Rachel Kennedy full time. The Humber graduates joined the agency last year as interns.
