Late last week, a group of Toronto-based executives went without their warm beds on a November night to raise money for Covenant House, supporting homeless youth.
Called the “Sleep Out: Executive Edition,” the event was chaired by Arlene Dickinson, star of CBC’s Dragons’ Den, Venture Communications CEO and founder of You Inc.; Brian Burke, president and GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs; and Bill Blair, Toronto Police Chief.
Also taking part were media and advertising executives like Tony Chapman, CEO of Capital C; Paul Lavoie, co-founder of Taxi; Jeremy Gayton, president of Taxi Canada; and Penny Stevens, president of Media Experts.
We went down and talked with Dickinson, Chapman, Lavoie and Gayton about the experience, and the importance of participating in the event.
